Bursary Programme

Thanks to the generous support of the Louise and Alan Edwards Foundation and many others, Montreal Fluency Centre is able to offer financial assistance to a number of low-income families who are unable to afford speech and language therapy for their children.

The Give the Gift of Speech bursary programme covers up to 50% of the cost of assessment and up to 75% of the cost of treatment. The amount of subsidy available varies with the family size and the total gross annual income.Families receiving bursaries are responsible for the balance of their treatment cost and any costs associated with assessment, treatment planning and missed appointments.

Thirty percent of the families who use Montreal Fluency Centre’s services receive bursaries.

All applications are confidential and are reviewed for acceptance by a bursary committee. The fund has been established so that families with the greatest need will be the prime beneficiaries.

To continue to offer bursaries to the 30% of the families who use our services, Montreal Fluency Centre must raise additional funds each year. You can help families in need by making a donation to the bursary program.
